Welcome to the Japan Tourism Agency's official site!
My name is Hisae Arai. I am the 2011 MISS JAPAN Kimono Award winner.
In addition to my volunteer work as Miss Japan, I also produce "art messages" in the form of pictures and letters that express the beauty of Japanese landscapes and settings, as well as Japanese culture.
On the first of every month, I am pleased to send an art message calendar I have recently drawn depicting the seasons in my hometown of Osaka. (o^^o)
I drew this calendar to show people overseas the diverse faces of Osaka, hoping that at least some of you will want to come have fun in Osaka as well as other parts of Japan.
Japan has suffered badly from the massive earthquake of March 11, 201l, but the Japanese people continue to work as one to ensure Japan's full recovery.
We take great heart in the fact that we have received so much support from people the world over.
In the future, Japan will grow even stronger than it was and welcome everyone with various events even greater than before.
